I have frequented Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory every time I fly into Orange County, California, and unfortunately this most recent experience ensured I will not be returning. My colleague and I stopped in intending to purchase approximately 16 specialty apples to bring back to clients in Georgia. After waiting at the counter without acknowledgment, the staff assisted a customer who walked in after us. I admittedly expressed frustration when I mentioned that we had been waiting, and I recognize I could have communicated my annoyance more calmly. However, as a customer, it was frustrating to feel overlooked entirely. The employee assisting the other customer, Lila, responded by pointing out that there were signs indicating where the line began. To be fair, I had not noticed the signage until she mentioned it. While I appreciate the clarification, the tone came across as sarcastic and condescending rather than welcoming. What was far more disappointing was the behavior of another employee with blue hair whose name was refused when requested after I stated I intended to leave a review. I absolutely love their caramel apples, whenever I go to Disney I always stop by the outlet after to get an apple! So fresh and yummy, if you go in the mornings you can watch them dip some which is nice! I usually get the cheesecake apple but this time for fall they have the pumpkin cheesecake! I always come with my friends and a lot of them get their new Dubai chocolate brownie which is much better than the one from Crumbl! Much much better, love this family store!

I went to this location on September 13, 2025 with my sister. Immediately after we had gotten it, we ate a slice and immediately noticed the chocolate tasted old & it had mold on the bottom. We went back to get a refund and the cashier didn’t even say sorry.

I used to come here a lot when I was younger. It has been a while and it was nice to go back and purchase an apple. They have ice cream, chocolates, and apples. Would definitely recommend this place. There is something for anyone.

Now I know what you are thinking...How on earth could someone not like a chocolate store. Well I am here to say that it is entirely possible and it isnt because I am lactose intolerant. Now when you think of chocolate stores you probably imagine sees candies. When you enter sees they always offer you some free samples. They smile and welcome you in. They have matching outfits. Everything ia very clean. Rocky Mountain Chocolate is exactly the opposite. You wait there forever for anyone to acknowledge you. You come in for a chocolate and you end up waiting ten minutes. The ladies that work there arent very nice. And it looks like she always has her daughters working there too. I think that is illegal lol. Anyways the chocolate here is too rich abd sugary. No good on the customer service.
